All of the prices given below assume use by an organization for its own internal purposes. Incorporation of any Optimal Methods software into a larger system that is marketed to third parties requires an individually negotiated agreement. Optimal Methods will exercise its best efforts to repair any bugs discovered by licensee.
1. Mainframe and Multi-User Minicomputer Licenses
The following prices refer to a permanent license for a single mainframe or minicomputer CPU. Parallel, array, and vector machines are considered to be mainframes (one entire parallel machine, for the purpose of pricing, is considered a single CPU).

7. Leasing
Any of the above programs may be leased for a monthly fee equal to one twentieth (1/20) of the perpetual license fee. There is a minimum lease period of 3 months. A credit of 70% of accumulated lease payments may be applied to the cost of the corresponding permanent license.
8. Unlimited Use Fee
Optimal Methods Inc. will attempt to negotiate in good faith a single fee providing a permanent license to use an unlimited number of copies of any or all programs at an unlimited number of sites. If previous payments have been made according to the above pricing schedule, 80% of these payments will be credited toward the unlimited use fee.
9. Maintenance Services
Optimal Methods Inc. will provide maintenance services for no charge for the first year of use. Maintenance for subsequent years is provided at a fee of $600 per year for each code. Licensees who pay for maintenance services will receive, on demand but at least once a year, the most up-to-date version of any code for which they hold a license.
